**October Pack Meeting:  -hosted by Den 6 was fun! Richie Kovach, Josh Poisson and Tommy Valus did the uniform inspection. Den leaders have forms so they can report to scouts as to changes that should be made in their uniforms.

 

** Questions about Pack 172:  -It is requested that parents having questions or concerns regarding Pack 172 that they may direct those questions to the appropriate person, Cubmaster Rich Kovach, Assisant Bill Lobdell, Committee Chairs Michele Appleby or Evelyn Lesko, or any den leader. However, please not in front of the children.

 

**Yankee Candle Fundraiser:  -TOP SELLERS: Anthony Rivera (den 9) $275, Avery Eckels (den 3) $275, Drew Newcomb (den 7) $248, CJ Enright(den 2) $235 Total sales were $3665. 40% goes to the pack totaling $1461.20. 14 familes paid the $20.00 opt-out fee. 15 families did not participate. A letter will be generated asking those 15 families for their $20.00 opt-out fee.

 

**Holiday wreath sale:  -presale orders due Nov. 14th pack meeting. No late orders will be accepted but, you can purchase at Eli Whitney. Our rule is if you are in town Thanksgiving weekend you need to be at the sale Thanksgiving weekend. Den leaders have chosen time slots which will be in the November pack meeting program. The wreaths will be sold for $15.00 at Eli Whitney. Scouts should not “rush” cars, stay on sidewalk at all times. Scouts should put the purchased wreaths into cars for people. Wreaths will be kept at the Craven’s residence.First den of the day scheduled should pick up the wreath (50 or so) at Rich Craven's house, last den scheduled should return wreaths left to Rich Craven's house.

 

**Sound Tigers Scout Night:  -November 23rd @ 7:30 Harboryard. 21 scouts attending, the pack will pay $345 for their tickets. 63 total attendees. We ask that adults refrain from alcohol consumption at this event...it is a cub scout event!

 

**Registration:  -70+ scouts are registered. Michele Appleby will email pack roster to all den leaders.

 

**Pack finances:  -Helen Levine reported that the pack has approximately $2400 in the account. This is $1100 less than at this date last year.

 

**Mystic sleepover– April 25-26, 2008:  -49 have signed up, 47 are paid. Bill Lobdell will find out if there is room for more attendees and will report this at the November pack meeting.

 

**Re-Charter:  -Helen Levine is working on this and will hand off to Julie.

 

**Holiday Caroling:  -December 16th at Lord Chamberlain 3:00-4:00.

 

**Leader Training:  -Alan DeRosa will be getting information to den leaders regarding training they need as leaders. New leaders need to take an 8 hour class
or 2 - 4hour classes. Youth protection needs to be done every two years.

 

**November Pack Meeting:  -November pack meeting will be hosted by Den 9.

 

**Pasta Night:  -There was a unanimous “no” vote to cancel or reschedule Pasta Night. Discussion tabled to a later meeting.

 

**Roundtable:  -Nov. 13 Julie Kovach; Dec. 11 Helen Levine; Jan. 15 Mike Matis
