Welcome Scout

Cub Scouting provides age appropriate activities. The boys are divided up into dens based on their school grade and graduate to the next level when they finish each school year.

First grade boys join the pack as Tiger Cubs. Tigers have a simple uniform and go through a program that introduces the boy and their adult partner to the principles of scouting. At the Tiger Cub level, one to one parental involvement is required.

When a Tiger Cub completes first grade, he graduates to the Bobcat/Wolf Scout. Here the boy gets his complete Cub Scout uniform and begins work firts on his Bobcat and then Wolf badge. In the Bobcat Wolf ranks, one to one parental involvement is no longer required, but parents are encouraged to join us and help the Den or become a Den Leader. Wolf Scouts work on a set of achievements which the adults signs off on. All of the work is designed to be age appropriate.

At the third grade level, they boys become Bear Scouts. This program is similar to the Wolf, but the achievement are just a bit more challenging.

cFinally as fourth graders, the boys become Webelos Scouts. Webelos is a two year program geared for preparing the Cub Scout for his Arrow of Light badge and his transition to Boy Scouts. Unlike all of the previous ranks, the boys must demonstrate completion of the achievements to the Webelos leader. Usually during the 2nd year of Webelos the scouts visit and work closely with Boy Scouts and various Boy Scout Troops to prepare for their transition into Boy Scouting.
