Pack Meeting Duties

 

Setup & Greet:    Arrive by 6:40!!   Leader gets storage closet unlocked (ask the custodian on duty).  Leader and Cubs get out flags (US, Pack) and den flags, poles, and stands.  Set flags up in designated areas.  Set up and turn on / test microphone.  Post one or two boys (optional - dress according to monthly theme) at door to greet Cubs and parents as they arrive.  Hand out newsletter/agenda.

 

Flag Ceremony:   Parade and Post Colors.  Lead Pack in Pledge of Allegiance and (if desired) one of the following: Patriotic Song, Poem, Reading, Cub Scout Promise.

 

Presentation:       Leader(s) and Cubs choose one to present at meeting.  Please attempt to keep with the monthly theme when considering your presentations.  Options include song, cheer, skit, information about what's been done in den recently, etc.  Limit to about five minutes.

 

Closing Ceremony:             Close with a moment of silence, prayer, inspirational thought, or grand howl before parading and retiring colors.

 

Cleanup:                Dens and their families pick up papers and debris and clean up area.  Put away all flags and stands, pack paraphernalia, props, etc. (into storage closet).  Place all lost and found items in box under coat rack in vestibule behind Fellowship Hall (Men's Room side).

 

Advancement:       We will attempt to advance Cubs according to the schedule.  Please have your den’s advancement requirements completed prior to the scheduled advancement date.  If you have Cubs who complete advancement requirements much earlier than the scheduled date, contact the Cubmaster and we can make special arrangement to advance shortly after they earn their ranks.

 

Blue and Gold Banquet:     This special event will replace our February Pack Meeting.
