Parent Resources
There are lots of resources available to parents, and parental involvement is KEY to a cub scout's success. On this page we have tried to provide you with a few of the key resources available to scouting parents. Cub Scout Academic & Sports Award Program Seeing a need to compete with other school and sports activities, the Cub Scouts offer a range of academic & sports award program that allows kids to be recognized for their other activities. These are challenging achievements to earn, and go into depth on each subject. Several parents have asked about the Sports & Academic Belt Loops & Pins . This is a website where you can print out the requirements. (Thanks to Pack 215 for making this possible!) Pack 2 would like you and your son to concentrate on achievements in the book this early in the year to ensure that he achieves rank by March, but if you are confident in his progress, you're welcome to participate. The pack will pay for the first three of these awards, but because of the expense of the metal belt loops ($1.75 ea.), parents should pay for additional awards earned.
