Tigers

There are 5 Tiger Cub achievement areas. The Tiger Cub, working with his adult partner, completes 15 requirements within these areas to earn the Tiger Cub Badge.
Each boy will be awarded a Tiger Cub Bead Totem at the September Pack Meeting after the boy learns the Tiger Promise and Motto.
Upon completion of each requirement, the Cub will earn orange, black, or white beads. These will be awarded at Den meetings.
Pack 309 awards the Tiger Cub badge of rank at the Blue & Gold banquet (usually held in February).
After earning the Tiger Cub badge, each boy may earn elective beads for his totem. One yellow bead is awarded for each 5 electives. These are awarded at the Den meetings.
At the Graduation Pack Meeting (in April), the boys will be given a yellow Wolf neckerchief.
Tigers are encouraged, but not required, to earn their Bobcat badge of rank to be awarded at the April Pack meeting.
Bobcat

This rank is for all boys who join Cub Scouting.
It must be earned before any other badge is awarded.
Awarded at the Pack Meeting.
Wolf

Complete 12 achievements from the Wolf Book (see trail summary in back of Wolf Book).
"Progress Towards Rank" emblem is earned following the completion of 3 achievements from the Wolf Book (generally in October).
For each 3 achievements completed from the Wolf Book, a gold bead is awarded during Den Meetings or at Pack Meeting (at the Den Leader's discretion).
The Wolf badge is normally awarded at Blue & Gold Banquet in February.
A gold arrow point is awarded for completing 10 electives from the Wolf Book after receiving the Wolf badge.
A silver arrow point is awarded for each additional 10 electives completed from the Wolf Book after receiving a Gold arrow point.
The boys receive the blue Bear neckerchief at the April Pack Meeting.
Bears

Complete 12 achievements from the Bear Book (see trail summary in back of Bear Book).
"Progress Towards Rank" emblem is earned following the completion of 3 achievements from the Bear Book unless already earned as a Wolf (generally in October).
For each 3 achievements completed from the Bear Book, a red bead is awarded during Den Meetings or at Pack Meeting (at the Den Leader's discretion).

Webelos

Be an active member of your den.
Earn the Fitness activity pin and two others.
Understand and agree to live by the Boy Scout Oath, Law, Motto and Slogan.
Know the Boy Scout salute, sign and handclasp.
Complete several other miscellaneous requirements.
Arrow of Light

Be an active member of your den.
Repeat from memory, explain in your own words and agree to live by the Boy Scout Oath, Law, Motto and Slogan.
Earn 5 more Webelos activity pins in addition to the three already earned for the Webelos badge. The total of 8 must include Citizen, Readyman, one from the Outdoor group, one from the Mental skills group, one from the technology group and two others.
Participate in a Webelos overnight campout.
Complete several other miscellaneous requirements.
Optional

The Sports and Academics Belt Loops and Pins can be earned through school, sports, and at home and provide great recognition as worn on their belt or Cub letter, the requirements can be found at Sports and Academics Belt Loops and Pins., the Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program Guide which we have in our Pack 309 library, or the Sports and Academics Belt Loops summary document.
The Cub Scout World Conservation Award can be earned as a Wolf, Bear, or Webelos and the requirements can be found in the boys Cub Scout Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Handbook or at Cub Scout World Conservation Award.
The Cub Scout Leave No Trace Awareness Award can be earned as a Wolf, Bear, or Webelos and the requirements can be found in the boys Cub Scout Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Handbook
The pack works hard to try and provide many activities throughout the summer for the boys and strives to earn the National Summertime Pack Award & Pin.
The boys through outdoor acctivities and camping can earn the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award.
Pack 309 has many devoted parents and leaders that give up many hours to help our boys develop as young men by following the Cub Scout Laws. As recognition of their time and devotion many of our leaders have or will complete the requirements to attain Den Leader Awards.
