Plastic Bag Greenhouse- Use a reseal able gallon size bag. Place enough potting soil in the bag so that the bag will stand on its own then plant seeds in the soil (if you plant them close to the sides then you can watch the roots grow) Seal the bag and place in a place that gets plenty of light but not directly in the sun. After the plants out grow the bag you can take them out and replant in a pot.

Veggie Print Placemat- Materials: Various vegetables and fruits, sponges or brush, construction paper, acrylic paints. Slice veggies and fruits in half for this activity. Keep the rest clean. If you use citrus fruit cut the flesh out as you would a grapefruit to make clear prints. Adults help with cutting the veggies and fruits. Wipe with paper towels to minimize excess moisture. For ink, use a sponge soaked with paint or paint the veggie with a brush. (tiger elective 30) After you are done with the place mats you can make spud faces. Use the fruit and veggies that you used for the placemats (unpainted) and arrange a face. Then take mashed potatoes on a plate and spread them out so that you can make your face in the potatoes. ( if you use clean veggies when making the spuds you can use them as a snack at the end of the meeting. (tiger elective 25)

Chick in a Jar- Empty baby food jars with labels off. Place yellow pom- poms in the jar then place the lid on and turn it upside down. Glue some wiggle eyes on the bottom and then a beak cut out of felt. You can add yellow feathers on the outside if you like.

Cow mask- White poster board, markers or crayons, scissors and paint sticks. Draw a cow on the poster board big enough to fit over your face, then cut it out and glue it to a stick glue on ears at the top of the head.

Milkshakes- Milk, Frozen yogurt, strawberries or other fruit.  Scoop the frozen yogurt into a blender, add milk, place fruit on top blend and then enjoy.

Vegetable Stew- Cub scouts sit in chairs in a circle with one boy in the center. The leader assigns a vegetable to 2 boys in the circle. When the name of the veggie is called, to 2 corns or potatoes etc will run to switch seats. At the same time the boy in the middle will try to take one of those seats. When vegetable stew is yelled out the hole circle gets up and scrambles around to new seats. The one left standing is "it" for the next round

Veggie Harvest- Hide either pictures or real veggies around the room and send the boys out to look for veggies the one to collect the most before you say stop wins if you would like to make it harder you can give each boy a list of veggies they have to harvest.
